Workshop on Research Proposal Writing
The Scientific and Research Committee, College of Nursing, Khamis Mushait, conducted a "Research Proposal Writing” workshop on 30. January 2025G /30.07.1446 H, Thursday from 9 am to 12 noon at the college theatre. Dr. Haseena, a Professor of Medical-Surgical Nursing and a leading expert in the field of Research, led the workshop with the Learning Objectives of
- understanding the significance of research in nursing practice and education,
- Identifying key steps in the research proposal development process,
- explaining the ethical considerations involved in nursing research proposals,
- formulating specific aims and objectives for a research study
- understanding an appropriate methodology, including population, sampling, and data collection tools.
One hundred ninety-four participants attended the workshop, including the faculty and students. The Dean, Dr. Meshaiel Al-Aliany, ViceDean, Dr. Shadia Alshahrani, and the head of the community psychiatric and mental health nursing department concluded the session with the key points of the workshop. He invited the young student researchers to participate in the research activities of the College and University. A handful of students expressed their willingness to participate in research activities at the end of the workshop.
